Growing up it was so easy to have a relationship with Christ because it was modeled in our home: we prayed before meals, we went to church every Sunday & Wednesday, we mainly listened to Christian music, and I was taught and encouraged to pray before bed every single night.

Pink moons represent a period of growth + bloom! If it’s sacred, it will deepen. If it’s a lesson, it will leave. By releasing what no longer aligns, you make space for better experiences on all levels. You deserve the best, babes! 💕
Getting My Spark Back
Happy New Year! Because it’s not April Fool’s Day, at least not for me.
The last few months had some really weird stuff going on… so my new year starts today!
After some deep introspection in a few moments that I was not exactly proud of, I’ve been able to gain deeper self-awareness. For anyone who has made a mistake(s), remember to take the time to learn from your experience with grace and kindness. We are not perfect. We are all human. And we all make errors. All we can really do is self-reflect, take responsibility, learn, and do better next time. Every day we can wake up and make a choice to be better than the person we were yesterday. Isn’t that the real beauty in growth?
In the meantime, fresh blonde hair, a new exercise routine, deep talks with my girls, realizing what I deserve/what I will never tolerate again, and remembering who I am– has me feeling really good!
I. am. so. back.
✨The Real Fairy Tale✨
It’s Saturday and it’s an inevitably gloomy and rainy winter morning here in Oregon. How I thoroughly enjoy dreary days like this sometimes. I love any excuse to not leave my house all day. Even the thought of cozying up to a warm fire next to my dog with a blanket, a book, and a hot cup of coffee has me instantly feeling happy. Other days, I reminisce my former life in San Diego: the soft sand beneath my feet, the sound of the Pacific Ocean waves crashing ashore, and the warm SoCal sun kissing my skin. As the rain begins to pelt harder against my bedroom window, the saying ‘you can’t appreciate the sun without the rain’ flashes in my mind and I am quickly jolted into reality– I am no longer in San Diego.

For Chinese astrology, 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse, baby! I’m excited because as a Leo, it’s thought to be a good year for us fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius).

One of my favorite aspects of my job is working with the elderly population. Because like children, old people say the darnedest things. It seems like the older we get, our filter and perception of what people think of us, goes right out the window. I find it kind of liberating but mostly amusing. Recently, I was imaging one of my elderly patients and I could feel her beady eyes staring at me, scanning my face. She abruptly blurts out “Are you married?” I responded, “No, I’m single. Have anyone in mind for me?” I was trying to make light of her invasive question but also hoping it would squash any further discussion. Completely unbothered, she quickly followed up with “Why is someone like you still single?” I didn’t know if I should feel offended or take it as a compliment. Either way, it’s a cringing question that no single woman in her mid-thirties ever wants to hear. Without missing a beat, I confidently responded, “Because I am not willing to settle for anything less than I deserve.” Her 80-something year old wrinkly lips pulled taut to reveal her gummy and mostly toothless smile, “Very good, honey” she replied.

It’s a new year! (F 2025, am I right?) While I have said it before, I am not big on New Year’s Resolutions. Because why limit ourselves to one goal for the entire year that we will inevitably lose motivation a few months in? I am however, big on starting the year off with being intentional; this goes for being intentional with how we spend our day and intentional about who we allow in our lives (but I’ll get into that on another post). Routines may seem boring, but let me tell you, I have been sleeping so well and feeling so good. My energy has significantly increased and my brain fog and irritability during the day have dramatically decreased. These are just a few of the perks I am experiencing since getting back into a regular regimen.
