Happy Easter! ✝️🐰🐣

Happy Easter! He is Risen! ✝️

Growing up it was so easy to have a relationship with Christ because it was modeled in our home: we prayed before meals, we went to church every Sunday & Wednesday, we mainly listened to Christian music, and I was taught and encouraged to pray before bed every single night.

As I entered adulthood, I found it easier and easier to convince myself why I didn’t have the time to maintain my relationship and habits that were instilled in me as a child. I was the master of coming up with excuses. I’m too busy with work, friends, school, and/or insert other ridiculous excuse here, until I suddenly found myself living a life not exactly aligned with God.

Sometimes it takes an upsetting moment, chaos, or pain to realize that you need to realign your priorities. A few years back when I was living some of my darkest days from grief and loss, I decided to deepen my relationship with Christ again. I was living in San Diego and I started attending a women’s bible study every single week. Through my effort, I found by taking one active step of attending weekly bible study, it created a snowball effect for me. It lead me to attend church regularly, read my scripture often, and pray on the daily.

Which leads me to believe, maybe God challenges us to strengthen our faith and our character with circumstances as a catalyst to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.

Fast forward to today, I feel like my life is being challenged again and I am given the wake-up call to realign. Scripture promises us that if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you by offering comfort, presence, and purpose in the midst of our trials.

James 4:8

Proverbs 3:5-6

Positive Perspective: Remember that even in moments of despair or crisis, your situation can always be transformed into a blessing by bringing you closer to God!
