Something Real.🪞

Confidence. What is it? Seems like every time I pop on social media, there is someone on there trying to tell you how to be it or selling you their version of it.

I miss the early days of Instagram, where it served two purposes: sharing photos and connection. It now serves as a place for unqualified individuals that lack education, certification, or credentials to scam and profit by selling products or services like ‘coaching’ advice.

We honestly live in such a backwards world. A world that pushes valuing money/materialism over everything, where approval by performing is normalized, and hyper-sexuality and narcissism are masked as ‘confidence’.

So, before you waste any of your money on an uncredentialed 20-something year-old promoting her health, beauty, or relationship ‘wisdom’ <insert sarcastic tone here>,

Lets keep it simple:

Confidence is NOT the over-explaining and over-performing girl trying to prove herself by selling her ‘knowledge’, her looks, or her body on Instagram.

Because real confidence isn’t in the caked on makeup, the low cut dresses, or the designer handbags and shoes—it’s in what remains when all of that is gone.

Confidence is a calm, secure, grounded, and a respectful demeanor that stems from knowing your worth, knowing who you are, and living authentically without needing constant validation from others.

Insecurity is loud. Confidence is quiet.

She’s not acting, she’s not playing a role, and she’s definitely not living in a fantasy world…

So, in a universe full of imitators and novelty seekers hiding behind their masks, filters, and facades—be someone genuine.

Be something real.
