Overnight oats are my favorite breakfast for a busy work week. As a full-time professional, I prioritize meals that are quick, healthy, and high in protein. These oats are perfect for meal prepping; you can prepare several servings at once and simply grab one from the fridge as you head out the door.
The following recipe is for one serving. I typically prepare four servings at a time.

Ingredients:
- 1/3 Cup Old Fashioned or Rolled Oats
- 1/2 Cup Milk (of your choice)
- 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Chia Seeds
- Top with Fresh Seasonal Fruit (or 1/2 Cup Frozen Fruit)
- 1 teaspoon Honey (optional)
- Protein Powder (optional)
- Cinnamon (optional)–good for blood sugar and insulin sensitivity
Instructions:
- Mix the Base: In your jar, combine the oats, milk, honey, and chia seeds. Stir thoroughly until everything is well-blended.
- Add Protein Layers: Layer in the Greek yogurt. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and protein powder. Stir again to incorporate the powder smoothly. I like to use FlavCity Protein Powder for the clean ingredients, protein, grass fed bovine collagen, and added adaptogens.
- Finish with Fruit: Top the mixture with fresh strawberries and blueberries. You can also swap these for kiwis, raspberries, or bananas for variety.
- Chill & Set: Secure the lid and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, grab your jar and enjoy a perfectly set, high-protein breakfast! 😋
My favorite way to make the overnight oats is in these adorable lidded mason jars with an attached spoon.
